The Irish Beauty Show 2016: My Experience.

Hey everyone

I'm finally getting some time to sit down and write this post! This was just what I thought of it, everyone is different but this is my experience at the Irish Beauty Show in the RDS, Dublin. So let's get into it..

Right so firstly, I had my tickets booked since November! I actually forgot about it for a few months because it wasn't on until March! I had asked a few of the girls did they want to go but it didn't suit everyone so I dragged poor Richie along.

The week before I booked our train tickets and we had spins set to and from Waterford train station. All that was grand.

A few days before I was chatting to some of the other #deisebloggers and they all had plans prepared of what stand to go to and what products to pick up. I knew I wanted brushes and I didn't plan for anything else, which isn't bad for me because when I'm under pressure I'll make a decision quickly anyway but if you're the type of person that needs a plan and list then do make it before hand. Have a look at what brands will be there and do your research.

I had been saving for about a month or two beforehand so I didn't buy anything unless I needed it for my kit so I wasn't on that much of a budget.

So we got the 9 o clock train, we were in Dublin at about 11 and we didn't make it to the RDS until 12 I think due to the Luas and taxis. I thought I had the luas planned out but I actually didn't have a clue how to work the green line luas so if you know it then you know you can get the luas near enough to the RDS but if you don't just get a taxi.

So we had our tickets already and we got into the show fairly quick. I knew it was going to be busy but oh my god. We went on Sunday which was the first day of the event. It was manic.

I hadn't a clue where any of my fav stalls were so we turned right and walked around. We eventually got to know the area and I started shopping. Richie would find himself a quite spot to stand in and wait for me to hand him even more bags, the poor fella.

So yeah I won't bore you too much but basically, it was absolute chaos, girls are like bulls and Richie wasn't the only poor fella be dragged around. We did LAPS of the place.

If you have a temper, which I do, I just wouldn't recommend it simply because everyone has the same goal, to grab stuff, but some people are slow at doing that. Like they will take their time standing at a stall and picking what they want and you might know exactly what you want but you have to wait for this ejit. I know that's so harsh but that's me having a temper. I can't even talk about this anymore or I'll get in trouble haha! But if you can't handle waiting on people and the slowness of how the crowds move then just stay at home and order online.

On top of being a bit angry, I was getting anxious with the crowds and Richie was too, I just knew by him. It is an overwhelming experience and fair play to him for coming with me and dealing with that. I don't do that well in crowds of people like getting pushed and shoved is not something I can handle mentally and physically.

Those are my two downsides and I think they've honestly put me off going again. You do get brilliant deals and you will get to meet all these fab bloggers and MUAs but I suppose everything had pros and cons to it.

I got loads at the beauty show and I met my fellow #deisebloggers which I am delighted about, that part of the experience was unreal and I loved it but I'm just not suited to these type of events. And I lost my fav jacket but thanks to +Laura Dempsey Makeup  and +Cailyn Cosmetics  and Jamie from Grey Skies and Silver Linings I got it back! It would take me!

And lads, I love +TooDollyMakeup so when I seen her I said hello and she knew me or like at least she knew my name.ded.

I loved it.

I loved that aspect as I said but can't handle the crowds. I would love to meet all my fellow bloggers again in a more relaxed atmosphere and shop online. So I think I will give next year a miss but it's an experience every girl should have. You may be totally different to me but that's just how I felt about it all.

Hope you enjoyed this post, I think a lot of you thought I had an all-round ball at it but that's not the case here. Pros and cons to everything! If you went, let me know how you found it!

Thanks for reading!Xx
