Hey everyone! Hope you're all well.
Today I gave some more products from the #DeiseBloggers event a go!
I'm just going to go through it step by step. So here is the look that I came up with today.
So first off I cleaned my face with the Bioderma micellar water - works a treat! love it.
Then I went in with my Ziaja deep moisturizing cream - absolutely fab!
After all that prep I do my brows. I created the base of my brow line with Inglots brow gel in number 16 but used the Billion Dollar Brows powders for the rest of the brow. We got the shades Taupe and Light Brown. I thought Taupe would be lighter but it's not. I really love the powders for their pigment and blend-ability. The brushes are also amazing, my favourite would be the double ended brush but they're like flat brushes, for carving out the brows with concealer. So I'm really impressed and loving Billion Dollar Brows!
Next onto foundation. I just used Vichy Ideal Teint in number 45 and Relvon in shade 010 Buff. However, I mixed a bit of the Jessica oil into the foundations to give an all over glow and it worked really well. Great little tip to make dewy foundation and especially great for those with dry skin - this oil will hydrate the skin and make the dry patches go!
Now I got to try my Penneys brushes! eeep! So I applied my MAC Pro Longwear concealer with the Penneys double ended foundation and concealer brush, obvs using the smaller side for my concealer. These brushes are so soft and the max you'll pay for a brush is like €3. I am soo impressed with this brush because it applied the concealer so smoothly - I didn't experience any brush strokes or anything so I love this brush for concealer.
Once I had my base down, I wanted to set my concealer with powder. I normally use baby powder but I gave my Anneco mineral foundation a try. I have the light shade and I love the highlighted look under the eyes so this was amazing, Not only did it set my concealer but made my skin look airbrushed. Delighted with this mineral foundation as a setting powder. Will defo give it a go all over the face as a foundation.
Then I highlighted using the Penneys highlighter. Now, I am used to MaryLou by theBalm so I was like it's not going to be as good but I was pleasantly surprised at the payoff of this products. I actually really like this highlighter and one 'layer' is great for everyday but I also packed it on and it looked amazing. I also popped on the blush from Penneys - I don't normally wear blush - but I really do like this colour. I feel like it's a great Winter colour to add that nice flush across the face - be careful using this as it is super pigmented so just tap your brush in and pop onto the cheeks :)
Next was contouring and I love me some contouring. I used the Penneys contour/bronzer brush to do this and oh my god it's so soft. Really impressed with this brush also because it's super soft, cheap and blends out the powder extremely well. I can't recommend these brushes enough, sure for the price like where would ya be going? Amazing!
Then I moved onto my eye look and I created a sort of smokey look with the Bronze Queen palette by W7 which as you may know is an affordable brand. I was like oh it's a bit cheaper than the shadows I normally use so I was being snobby but I still gave it a go. I learned to NOT tap off the excess product or you will basically tap off all the product so just pick it up on the brush and pop onto the eyes. That way, it works really well and shadows are way more pigmented. I also want to share that the bone shade like the lightest shade in the palette is a matte bone colour and lord above it is my new fav matte shade for under the brow. Like honestly it's perfect for when you don't want a glittery brow bone but want it still highlighted. This palette has mattes and shimmers and I love them all. Such a good palette and at a great price. Again, you can't go wrong.
Finally my lips were just Liar lip liner by Urban Decay and Honeylove lipstick by MAC but then I popped on the Paese cosmetics lipgloss/lipbalm thing. It's a fab nudey pink shade so right up my ally way and it made my matte lip into a fab glossy nude lip and it made my lips feel amazing and plump all day!
So lads, well done for reading all that. I am really surprised that I'm liking everything so far. I thought there would be a few products that just wouldn't agree with me but I'm super happy. My fav would have to be the Penneys products like I am so impressed - highly recommend giving them a go!
I hope you enjoyed this post and gained some inspo!
Thanks for reading!Xx
P.S - I would love to know what products you may have tried from the ones mentioned above!
