Pre - Tattooed Brows!

Hey everyone!

Tomorrow morning I'll be leaving town to head to Dublin, to get my brows tattooed on! You may have seen/ heard bits about this on my Snapchat and Facebook page. So I just wanted to make a quick post before I go.

So I'm a bit nervous but that's normal. I'm excited more than anything.

I'll be going for a natural full brow, if that's even possible. Basically, I want my brows to look done at all time but if I want to make them darker or longer or more dramatic for a night out then I want to be able to do that too. So no, I will not have fully filled in brows all the time, I hope, but more of a natural full look.

I will Snapchat the process as much as possible and post about it on Facebook and Instagram too. I will have a full blog post up within the next week of the whole procedure and healing and all that good stuff.

I am getting this treatment done for free. Olena reached out to me and offered this to me for free in exchange for a blog post. I just want to be honest about all of that but she mentioned a discount for my readers, so if you are interested just contact me and I can help you with all of that.

I have studied Olena's work, as you can imagine as I am extremely particular about my brows and I am truly impressed with her work. I will leave a link to her Facebook page below, so go check her out. I've  heard nothing but positive reviews on Olena herself and on her salon, so I am excited.

She's based in Dublin or Carrick-on-Shannon. I'm heading to Dublin for my treatment.

So I guess that's all I can say right now. I think I've filled you in on everything so far.

But yeah, keep an eye out for my Snapchat story and I will try to update on Facebook also.

Just going to pop photos of my brows here so you know what they looked like before hand.

Hope you enjoyed this post.

Cloud10Beauty - Haul

Hey everyone!

So on Friday you may have seen my instragram @jodirochemakeup that I ordered some things on Cloud10Beauty

I got some skincare, brush cleaner and of course, makeup!

So without waffling on anymore, all of this came to €50 because I used the discount code WEEKEND which I think is gone at midnight tonight (May 30th) so try place an order tonight if you see anything you like!

So here is what I got..

If you have been following me for a while, you know that I absolutely love these makeup removing pads. They normally cost €13 for 60 pads and I would use 4 pads to remove a full face of makeup each time.

I really wanted to try Tough Stuff by +Cocoa Brown Tan because I use tangoddess by Babydoll Cosmetics and if you have ever used it, you know it's a pain to get off. So yeah I wanted to see would this work. Tough Stuff alone on the site costs €8 I think but I got this gift set for €10. I will more than likely be giving away the other two products!

I clean my brushes religiously. I'm actually obsessed like if you are a client of mine, you know that everyone gets a clean brush or sponge. I like to keep them as clean as possible so this brush cleaner seems perfect. It was €11.

I absolutely love Nip & Fab skincare and this is my second bottle of the glycolic cleansing fix. I use this like a face wash in the shower everyday. It resurfaces the skins surface, making it all new again. I really would recommend this product to anyone with problem skin and it costs €10.

I honestly needed these brushes! I'm saying this because my clients see how many I have but honestly, I'll always need more brushes. These are just two blending brushes from Blank Canvas and cost €7 each. I have some Blank Canvas brushes already and I love them so I know these will be good.

And finally, you get 3 free samples when you spend over a certain amount so I picked these. I thought I was getting a nail file but I got a stick instead haha! Oh well, we won't complain it was free.

I hope you enjoyed this haul, go check out Cloud10Beauty, I'm always on it. I ordered this stuff Friday and it arrived on Monday. Delighted with my order!

Clarins Event - Sam McCauleys Dungarvan: Sneak Peak

Hey everyone!

Today I want to show you one of the many gifts you can get for free at next weekends Clarins event in store!

So here are some bits that are available!

So this little gem reminds me immediately of the Nivea dual effect eye makeup remover that I absolutely love, which you can also pick up in store. You can't tell by the photo but this is an oil and water based eye makeup remover, just like the Nivea one! I can't wait to try this out and see how it compares to my other one.

So I've actually used this before, my mother absolutely loves Clarins and when I started getting into makeup, I tried the skincare too. From what I remember, this gave a tingly feeling to my face but in a good way, a nice clean feeling! Again, can't wait to use this. I've really gotten into skincare so I will put these products to good use!

Same as the lotion, I have used this cleansing milk before too and I love cleansing milk. Currently I'm using the Declare cleansing milk, which makes my skin sooo soft, I believe you can get Declare in store too but don't quote me! Again, can't wait to use this and compare it to my current cleansing milk. I love comparing products and letting ye know!

And finally this fab body lotion for dry skin! I don't have dry skin but I love it to be super soft so I'm buzzing to give this ago. I'll probably try this before I tan because I like having smooth skin to pop my tan on top of!

And those are 4 potential free gifts you could get at the event on June 4th 10-12!

You can get up to 3 free gifts when you buy two or more Clarins products, one must be a skincare product & the other could be makeup! Or both skincare. And if you're good you may even get an extra gift.

As mentioned before, I won't be able to attend myself but please send me on snaps of the event! All the girls in store are fab but this event in particular will be held mainly by Jenny, you couldn't be in safer hands, this girl knows her stuff! So tell her I said hello when you pop in.

I hope I get a tone of snaps of the event & I hope you all enjoy it. Be sure to send me on snaps of your free gifts too, I'm actually sickened I can't go.

In my opinion, this town isn't used to events so this time make it your business to go and attend! I promise you these events are fab to be introduced to new products and get some tips & tricks from the pros! And to meet new people too.

Hope you enjoyed this little post!

Free Lancóme Gift in Sam McCauleys Dungarvan

Hey everyone!

So today I went into town and of course I stopped into Sam McCauleys! The girls inside have a few events running at the moment and if you follow me you already know about the Clarins event that Jenny is running.

But today I was introduced to the Lancóme event that Danika is running so basically if you spend €37 or more on any Lancóme product, you'll get a free goody bag and to be honest the bag alone is more than enough!

So just in case you don't know, I absolutely love the Lancóme mascaras & a mini one is included in the bag!

But I would highly recommend the Doll Eyes mascara, it's my favorite ever. That's about €20 euro. The foundation is amazing too, I haven't used it but I've seen it in YouTube videos and on the girls in store and that's €38 so you have your free gift right away!

The bag contains 4 luxury products, which are:

  1. Hydra Zen - which is a anti-stress moisturizing face cream with SPF 15
  2. La Base Pro Pore Easer - which is a primer that minimizes pores instantly
  3. Hypnóse Mascara - which is a best selling black mascara
  4. L'absolu Rouge - which is a mini lippy in a gorgeous everyday colour

So guys that's the bag! As I said, the bag itself is fab! You can see this on my snapchat too: liljodibubz

This offer is on now until June 8th I believe & while the free gifts stock lasts! So go ahead and pop into Sam McCauleys Dungarvan to treat yourself.

Happy shopping! Tell Danika I said hello :)

eBay Lashes - Photos & Links

Hey everyone!

I asked on snapchat: liljodibubz if you wanted an updated lash blog post and you did so here it is! I buy all my lashes on eBay because when you're a makeup artist, having a fully stocked kit can be expensive and lashes is a section that I feel we can cut back on and just buy in bulk from eBay for cheap. That's just me being honest. I don't think you need to have HudaBeauty lashes for every client - most of the time the lashes only last the night!

This blog post is for all makeup artists looking for good, affordable styles but also for anyone that wears fake lashes.

And that's all guys! Hope you enjoyed & happy lash shopping.

So today I want to tell you all about a Clarins event which will be held in Sam McCauleys Dungarvan on June 4th.

The event is starting at 10 o clock in the morning and will run until noon. However, from 12 o clock onwards there will be one to one appointments available if you have any more questions on products or anything the girls can help you a bit more in depth with that!

I also hear that there will be a draw for some amazing Clarins prizes, so definitely head over there between 10-12 to check it out.

If you have been following me for a while, you just know how much I love my local Sam McCauleys and the girls in store. You could not get a better service from such lovely, friendly girls & it is always nice to support your local shops.

Unfortunately, I cannot attend myself as I have clients and I'm actually sickened I can't go so I would absolutely love if ye could go and snap me about it all!

So save the dates lads, June 4th 10-12 o clock for the main event and anytime after 12 one to one available.

Not an event to be missed!

Tell the girls I sent ye over and say hello for me :)

Penneys Makeup Haul - Cork

Hey everyone!

Today I went to Cork with Gavin and picked up just a few things that are new enough from Penneys PS Love range - well new to me anyway!

I don't think you will find these in Penneys Waterford because that seems to be the last store to get anything exciting but if you're in the bigger cities I'm sure you'll find these few bits.

If I end up liking the products, you will 100% hear about it on my snapchat : liljodibubz

So onto the haul..

I think this was like €2.50 & it's in the shade taupe!

€1.50 each in the shades Nude & Brown

These were on sale for €7 - limited edition heels! Saw them on JustJordanBlog

So guys that's it. I didn't think there was a need to talk about each product because ye can see what they are and the prices are either on them or in the caption!

Haven't used any yet so this is just to show ye what I picked up. Hope you enjoyed this & got some shopping ideas haha. Penneys is doing extremely well in regards to their makeup range.

Essence Eyebrow Treatment Review

Hey everyone!

I'm back today to bring you a product review. As you can tell, it is on the eyebrow treatment from Essence. You can get this in Sam McCauley's Dungarvan or in any Penneys store. This costs less than €4 and sort of actually works!

So this is going to be quick and easy. This is just a brow treatment that is meant to nourish the brow hairs and promote growth. You have all probably seen my brows and know that they aren't that bad anyway, I have full enough brows. However, I lack in the arch department.

So I've been applying this every night as part of my nightly routine and have been doing so for a couple of weeks now! Really wish I took a before and after of my brows but sadly, as usual, I wasn't thinking.

But I can tell you that I feel as though there has been an improvement, nothing major but I think they're a bit thicker and have promoted hair growth.

My overall review of this product is that because it's so cheap and easily accessible, if you have a couple euro to spare and want to try it out, I think you should! I'm going to pass this onto my mother, who has absolutely no brows and I'll come back to it!

Hope you enjoyed this short piece, just another product you can try out! Let me know what you think.

Skincare Routine

Hey everyone!

It's been a while but I'm back and hope to be blogging way more during the Summer.

Today I want to share with you my new updated skincare routine, not that I had one before but I just wanted to tell you about it all because some of you may be interested.

So basically, I've been talking a lot on snapchat but as we all know that only lasts ten seconds so here is a more in depth talk through of the products I've been using and the routine I've gotten into.

Before all of this, I only used baby wipes to remove my makeup and then a face wash in the shower. However, my skin wasn't even that bad before. I have extremely oily skin in my T zone and then normal on the rest of my face. I would of course get a breakout every now and again but I never had ache or anything that bad. And I'm also a witch for popping pimples but I've been told you're allowed pop them when there's a head on them so yay for us pimple poppers!

Here's just a before and after of about two weeks ago and then here is my skin today, an improvement I think!

I'll go through my routine from day to night and in between!

So first of all, I will do a face mask twice a week, usually on a Wednesday and Sunday but that doesn't matter. I've been using the samples of the Glamglow range and I really do like them, I would highly recommend them but ask the girls in store which one would be best suited to your skin type or do a bit of research before you go buy them because they are expensive. Also always ask if there are testers or samples for you to try out! The girls in Sam McCauleys Dungarvan are just the best.

I'll be investing in the Supermud by Glamglow but we're just waiting on it to come in stock in town but that's my favorite mask and I think it does work. It's a clay mask and you can see/feel it working but defo pop in store and ask about them. The girls were nice enough to give me testers to try out and I just ended up falling in love with it so I'll 100% be investing.

Besides my face mask, I wake up and go for my shower and in the shower I will use the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Cleanser and yeah it's an oil based cleanser that sort of foams up when you massage it onto your skin but it leaves it feeling nice and fresh. This costs about €10 but it will last you forever. You can get this on Superdrug.co.uk or cloud10beauty.com and Superdrug always have offers on like 3 for 2 or half price & cloud10beauty have a 10% off discount code until May 31st so you can save some bob on it! Code: SKIN10

If I feel like I need even more cleaning I will use the Simple face wash but I haven't in a while because I find the Glycolic Fix does a great job on it's own but that's another face wash I like. I also like the Clean & Clear blackhead clearing scrub so they're just two more face washes that I'll use.

After my shower I will cleanse my face with the Garnier Micellar water and then moisturize and do my makeup or not, totally depends on the day, I do not wear makeup every day.

So in the night time then, even if I have worn makeup or not, I will use the Nip + Fab makeup removing pads just to clean my face and/or remove makeup. I need about 4 pads but it's great for removing everything.

Then I'll go in with Micellar water again to make sure my face is fully clean.

Then I will use a night cream so I picked up one in Dealz, but I don't have sensitive skin so anything will work for me but it's grand like! And then I'll use an Argan oil based night repair serum which I also picked up in Dealz and I really like this. I do enjoy having like oil on my face, it just feels so soft and refreshed so I'm enjoying that and sure look tis as cheap! You can't go wrong.

So yeah I think that's pretty much it. A far cry from just a baby wipe and some face wash! I'm getting there.

I found that my skin got worse before it got better but I kind of expected it to take a few weeks to adjust to so I'm not complaining just keep that in mind. I'm fairly sure most products break your skin out first and then get better. Because really, it's just cleaning out your skin, drawing out all the toxic things in your pores and will break you out but keep going with it and it'll be all clear in a few weeks!

That's just me though, I would advise you talk to the girls in a chemist or your doctor for anything like that or else follow bbeauty_jan on snapchat cause she knows her stuff and helped me out! sarahdwan1 is also amazing! So defo give those girls a follow if you need any help with your skin and what you should be using and doing.

A little tip, never apply your moisturizer under your eyes as it's too heavy for that area and can cause milla which are little white bumps, and if you have these, go to your doctor about them, please do not try to pop these yourself, a medical professional is the only one that can get rid of them! So invest in a serum or eye cream to avoid this from happening!

So guys I think that's all.

If you have any questions comment below or message me or snapchat me :) I'd love to help in anyway that I can! I also think Murrays chemist or Hallahan's pharmacy in town stock Nip + Fab so pop in for a look. You can get the Glamglow in Sam McCauley's and the Dealz products are obvs in Dealz!

So yeah I hope that was helpful and it might encourage you to look after your skin rather than just using baby wipes like I used to!
