Top 10 Under €10

Hi everyone!

Today I want to share with you my Top 10 products under €10.
Let's jump right into it..

Foundation: Catrice All Matt Plus

I have this foundation and I have been wearing it for years now at this rate. I absolutely love it. I think it costs about €7.50, you can't go wrong at that price. Great for those with oily skin. But all the foundations from Catrice are lovely and I would highly recommend this for everyday wear. And it's full coverage AND their lightest shade 010 is actually good for us pale Irish. This can be found in Sam McCauley's in town or pretty much any other chemist. Catrice seems to be super popular across all branches.

Concealer: Maybelline Fit Me

Again I have this. I love it. Coverage is great and everyone compares it to the NARS Creamy Concealer or whatever it is. It's so creamy but light weight. Again perfect for everyday use, it's full coverage and doesn't crease once you set it with a powder ( I'd recommend baby powder ). Costs €8.99 and can be got in Sam McCauleys or Boots.ie, I have the shade 15 Fair I think and yep perfect for pale folks!

Powder: Baby Powder

We all have it at home, I find it amazing and super strong as in, it keeps all my oil away. It's just a brilliant multipurpose use product. Just try it out and see. You can get this anywhere for like €2. Seriously like.

Use your concealer as an eyeshadow base and set with baby powder and you're good to go :)

Eyeshadow: Sleek Eyeshadow Palettes

These palettes are €10. With 12 shades inside, you simply can't go wrong. I'd pay more than a tenner for each palette but I'm not complaining at the cheap price! Just amazing quality, highly pigmented and Sleek have so many different palettes, I think 14, there is 100% one palette to suit everyone. My personal favorite is Oh So Special but Au Natural is lovely for everyday use. Can't go wrong with these, I own like 9 palettes. You can pick these up in Boots or SamMcCauleys or anywhere really.

Lip Liner: Essence Lip Liners

Hands down, the best. I use these before I use my MAC one. Simply because they glide on like a dream. So Super creamy and just so easy like you don't drag these across your lip. These won't dry out your lips and will last all day. I own every colour and use them on my clients too like they're amazing. Cost about €1.40 or something ridiculous like that. Why are you even still reading this? You should be on your way to town to pick up every colour. And if you loose it on a night out, who cares? It's €1.40, pick up another the next day and have a ball! ( Can't find a link, but these are in Sam McCauleys in town or else Penney's in Waterford )

Lipstick: Wet N Wild

Again I obv own like every colour. These lipsticks are €3 and comparable to MAC. Like honestly I have one called Cinnamon Spice and it is the EXACT same as Sin by MAC. The ones I'm talking about are the matte finish ones, which I just prefer myself. Use these on clients and myself and everyone is delighted. I love love love love love these lipsticks and need to buy more myself because I keep giving them away haha! Only €3 sure. These can be got in Connollys in town ( across from Shaws ) or else Dunnes in Waterford, how random, But yeah like just bring €21 with you and get yourself 7 new lipsticks and thank me later :)

Bronzer: Bourjois Bronzing Powder

Lads, this bronzer smells like chocolate? Do I need to say anymore? But no honestly this is really good stuff. Use it lightly for everyday like tap the brush in once or then go crazy with it on a night out. This bronzer is €9.95 and I got mine on cloud10beauty ^ link above. Just please try this and try not to eat it haha. But yeah I love applying this cause the smell but then you get hungry so I don't know if that's good or bad but yeah it smells good, looks good and the price is good.

Blush: Essence

You really can't beat Essence. I'm not too into blush myself but I have one blush from Essence and it's my all time fav but it broke..RIP blush :( But yeah again there are so many shades available and they're super pigmented - if you want it to be that is. Just build up the colour but it's not like a hard job or anything and they seem to last all day but then again that all depends on your base but yep I love Essence. Blushes are like €3 and can be got in SamMcCauleys or Penneys.

Highlight: Sleek Glo

I'll be honest now and say I don't have any highlighter that cost under a tenner. So I don't have this product but I've seen it used on YouTube channels and Sleek is an amazing brand so no doubt this is amazing. Also looks like the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick so that's a plus. After finding this I may need to go get it myself but this is by Sleek and it costs €7.99 and can be got in Boots :)

I hope you enjoyed this and found it helpful. If you have any great bargains yourself let us all know in the comments, I love a good deal and cheap alternative.

Celebrity Inspired Makeup

Hi everyone!

Today I wanted to do a celeb inspired makeup look. This is not your usual celeb but if you're interested in makeup you will know who she is. She's YouTube and Instagram famous.. it's none other than DESI PERKINS. Annnd half of you are like who? I'll post all her social media links below.

I've been following Desi for about a year now and I love her. I'm just obsessed. So Desi lives in America and I'm fairly sure she's Latino so I'll never have her fan tanned skin but her makeup skills are goals, you'll see for yourself.

On to the look... this is the one I was inspired by and tried to kinda re-create..

This is pretty much a FOTD but with a twist, I'll show you what I have used and talk a bit about where to place things and what not.

Primer: Nivea Man Post Shave Balm
Foundation: L'Oreal True Match
Concealer: MAC Pro Longwear Concealer

*Then I put just a bit of High Beam by Benefit on the cheek bones to highlight*

Powder: Baby Powder

Brows: Brow Beater by Urban Decay
Concealer: Catrice Camouflage Concealer - to shape around brows
Set: Clear Mascara

Eyes: MAC Amber Times Nine Eye-shadow Palette - to my surprise doesn't actually have Amber Lights in the palette? Strange..

So using my fluffy blending brush I took the first 4 colours in the palette ( Cozy Grey, Kitties, Georgia Peach & Ricepaper ) all together and applied them to the crease. Then with a smaller fluffy brush I picked up the 6th colour in the palette ( Cork ) and applied that to my inner and outer corners of the eye. As you can probably guess, yep this is a spotlight eye. Then to darken that up a bit more I took the 8th colour ( Aromatic ) and applied that on top.

Then I went in with Urban Decay Heavy Metal liquid liner in 'Glam Rock' and applied that to the centre of the eye, which should be fairly bare. The purpose of this was not for the glitter but it was just something for the next shadow to stick to.

Then with a small flat brush, I pat on the 5th colour in the palette ( Creative Copper ) for that lovely golden pop. The liquid liner under really helped it to stick.

Just to blend out and make it seamless go back in with the blending brush with 'Cork' .

Do the same to the under eye - if you want.

Mascara: Lancome Doll Eyes Hypnosis -  I believe it's called that anyways...

Bronzer: Solar Powder by Soap n Glory
Highlight: MaryLou by theBalm
Contour: ABH Contour Kit in Light

Lip Liner: Liar by Urban Decay
Lipstick: Honeylove by MAC

That's the face!

Makeup Haul

Hi everyone!

I'm literally in the door from town but need to show you what I got in Dungarvan today! Some serious bargains.

So firstly in Murray's chemist all Revlon products are €3 each so I got a foundation and 2 lipsticks.

I got the foundation in Caramel because that's all they had left but some clients may be dark or to mix with lighter shades. I also picked up 2 matte lipsticks in two fab pink shades.

Next up I got Eyelure Brow Ink. This is so new to me but they were also only €3 each anyway and I got a blonde shade and browny shade.

And then I got this Eyebrow Liner Brush by Better Professional Makeup for €4.99, I really need a new brow brush as I only have the one so this will be fun to try out!

So that's all from Murray's Pharmacy in town... next I picked up normal makeup sponges in Dealz for.. you guessed it, €1.49.

Then in Sam McCauley's it was buy one get the other half price so I stocked up on my usual's for the eyes. Cream concealer for shaping around brows and eyeshadow base for my shadows! I was delighted as these haven't been in stock for ages and as you can imagine, there are none left now. Sorry!

The 4 of these cost just under a tenner!

So lads that's it for my quick mini haul. Hope you all enjoyed it and seriously get into Murray's for some great deals!

Urban Decay Blogger Event!

Hi everyone!

So last night myself and friend Nadia got to attend a brilliant blogger event in Waterford. The Urban Decay counter in Debenhams Waterford held this event exclusively for bloggers and MUAs.

The event was just unreal like and safe to say I'm broke after it! Laura Dempsey who is a makeup artist for Urban Decay organised and planned all of this event and it couldn't have went any better. Well done Laura! Laura is an amazingly talented young woman from Waterford like she can do no wrong, she is goals. I will leave all of her social media links at the end of this post so make sure to follow her on everything! She also makes deadly YouTube videos so if you ever want to re create her looks just check that out also. Everything will be listed below :)

So now on to the event..

We were greeted by many other bloggers/muas and handed a glass of champagne immediately haha it was fab! So Laura got right into it which I love like I just wanted to see these new-ish products and buy them all. We got a brief background of Urban Decay as a company and I really enjoyed that because I'm interested in the history of makeup brands and it was so cool to see the first ever eye-shadow Urban Decay ever brought out ( Lounge ) and also to know they actually started out with nail polish!

So first up she showed us the amazing Smoky palette which is currently out of stock ( as you can imagine ) but will be back in shortly. You can pop in store or online >  Smoky Palette
At first I honestly didn't like this palette because I do love a good matte but when I learned that the palette actually goes from shimmer to matte along the way - then I wanted it. And also after seeing it in person it just made up my mind for me! Defo be purchasing one whenever I can. The palette is €46.

Next we got to see the new shade of Matte Lipsticks. Like I can't even put into words how amazing they are. Laura swatched them all for us and as she swatched each one I was like OMG at every shade. Needless to say I had to pick up at least 2. My fav is the shade 1993 ( second swatch ) but was out of stock but it will be in stock Tuesday. 1993 is the perfect browny nude. These matte lipsticks are in store now in Debenhams but not online yet so I can't link you to them but they're called the Matte Revolution Lipsticks.

I picked up the shade Bittersweet ( 4th swatch ) which is just unlike any other colour I have ever seen before. It's like a mauvey pinky purple. It's just so hard to describe but so pretty I cannot wait to wear it!
& I also picked up the shade Blackmail which is the last swatch on Laura's arm! It looks like a black lipstick but it's just a really really dark kinda purple, again I can't wait to wear it.

leave it to me to ruin the box and lipstick all in one

As you can see from the photos the lipsticks actually look some bit glossy in the tube but go on matte and Laura told us that there is still a lot of oils in the lipsticks so they're not too drying on the lips like most matte lippies! You will not get that horrid crusty line along your lips. These lipsticks cost €19 each.

Next up we got to see some of Laura's fav shadows that I can safely say are my fav too and I will eventually have them all...

So we saw a lot of shadows and all were beautiful however I have two favs myself and then I picked up an existing shadow which wasn't new to us but Laura had used it on a client for a make over one day and I just had to have it. My 2 favorites were Lounge and Fireball. Lounge is like a greeny brown duo-toned shadow - if that's the correct terminology - basically it looks green in some lighting and brown in others. It's hands down the coolest shadow I have ever seen.  Fireball is like a perfect peachy orange toned just pretty shadow and will go with any eye colour, it's just beautiful and you can see for yourself how pretty they are. These shadows are about €19 each I think!

So then I just had to get my hands on the shadow Cosmic. It's a moon-dust shadow and just gorgeous like such a fab highlight. As I said Laura used this and I'd recommend it to anyone for a highlighter.

Then we got to see new brow products and if you know me you know I love brows and of course got the new brow pencil which is called the Brow Beater. If you're familiar with ABH then you know of brow wiz and this is pretty much the same only better. It is cheaper for one and the colours are much much better, Being blonde/grey I find it hard to get a nice shade for my brows but I got the shade Taupe in the Brow Beater and it's just perfect. I actually have the shade Taupe in ABH but it's still too brown/dark for me but this Urban Decay one is on point. Costs about €19.

So as you can see its double ended with product on one end and a little spoolie on the other!

The other brow product was a brow mascara with fibres in it to add a bit of thickness and volume to the brows. I can't for the life of me remember what it's called but it's amazing. Unlike many brow mascaras it's actually matte so there is no gel like or glossy texture left over. I believe it was also about €19. Defo in store just not online yet. The shade Taupe again is perfect for blondes or light haired people. I also need to get this too!

So that is all over the newer products being launched by Urban Decay in Debenhams. All in store just give it some time and I'm sure they'll be up online,

Because Urban Decay are so fab we got a little goodie bag as a treat which included a Gucci perfume, Primer potion samples and a massive sample of a Velvet Glide on eye liner in the shade Black Velvet >  Glide on liner I can't wait to try all these out. Thank you so much Laura and everyone in Urban Decay :)

Then I just bought myself two more treats. I am awful for spoiling myself! I got a lip liner in the shade Liar and the All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. I just got Liar because Laura was wearing it and I thought it was pretty and I got the setting spray because I had it before and I've tried so many but this is my all time favorite.

Lip liner - Liar
Setting spray - All Nighter

And I think that is it! Sorry it's such a long post but I learned a lot about the brand and new products. I was so excited to share everything with you all and I hope you pick up something as the brand is just flawless, I love Urban Decay. Massive thank you to Laura & Co for setting this up, it was a lovely event. So happy to have met so many other amazing bloggers/muas, the community is only growing :)

Hope you all enjoyed this post and I'm going to leave you with a few more snaps from the night :) Thank you all so much for reading! Xx

My Makeup Collection: Foundations

Hey everyone!

Today I want to share my foundations with you!

You know the drill..now on to the blog post..

So first up I have I think my first proper foundation aside from Elizabeth Arden or Panstick haha! It's the MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC20, this is not my normal shade..it's actually my going out shade.. I know the paleness! But I love this foundation purely because of full coverage. Every foundation I have is full coverage anyway so if you would like a light foundation I'm just sorry I don't have one. I also love how yelllow toned NC is from MAC. MAC to do undertones which are NC - yellow and NW - pink. Yellow based foundations are perfect when you have a tan or fake tan. Fake tan can turn green when it's old so there's your yellow undertone. This can be got in MAC in Brown Thomas and it costs about €35 and I would highly recommend it! Last forever too - a little goes a long way! 9/10.

Next I have my Vichy Dermablend in the shade 45 Gold. I picked this up in Lloyds Pharmacy in town but Sam McCauley's also stock it. It costs about €22 which isn't too bad. I actually haven't used this alone as I tend to mix foundations for a correct shade. But this is new to me and I have found that by adding a pea sized amount of this to a mixture makes a perfect, flawless full coverage foundation. This foundation is pretty much a combo of Vichy and Dermablend so it's brilliant for people with problem skin. I would highly recommend this to anyone that suffers from acne or just breakouts. This can be used as a concealer too! For the price and quality 9/10. The colour is also great but this shade is for when you have a tan.

Now I have another Vichy foundation, This is Vichy Ideal Teint foundation which is an illuminating foundation with super full coverage, Again I picked this up in Lloyds for €18 - it was on sale! I have the shade 45 & 55. I mix both together along with other foundations but the shade 55 is all I use on clients with a tan be it fake or real. The shade 55 is just perfection for a tan. I have raved about this on my Facebook page too. Perfect foundation when taking photos too as there is no white cast when a flash is used. Probably my new fav foundation ever! Need to pick up another bottle soon! 10/10.

Next I have another illuminating foundation but this one is from NYC and costs €4.50. Unfortunately I have not tested this out but said I would show anyway!

Next I have another cheap foundation but this I have used and absolutely love. It's from Catrice and it is their all matte foundation. Costs about €7. This foundation is full full coverage and also MATTE. Perfect for those with oily skin. I have the lightest shade which is 010 light but it's grand for me and I'm as white as a ghost! I really love this for everyday wear,, I used to wear this all the time in school and people would ask what is it because it's so nice, well it's just my Catrice foundation. I haven't worn it in a while but I know I'll keep going back to it everytime. For price and quality? 9/10. It's brilliant stuff.

Now I have this one by Essence which is the stay all day foundation and I have the shade 30 Soft Sand. I don't know how much this is as a friend gave it to me but I'm sure it's not expensive. I haven't used this alone but it is a great foundation for mixing in with others too and the colour is defo for when you're tanned! 7/10.

Now for an expensive brand again haha. I have this foundation by Clinique it's called Superfit Makeup and I have the shade 33 Nutmeg which is honestly so so dark. I only use this when a client has very dark skin but this is a lovely foundation and blends out beautifully. This is probably the lightest type of foundation as in you can still see your skin under it, Freckles will poke through. No idea how much but I'm sure it's dear enough! 6/10.

Next up is Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid and I have the shade 40 Fawn. As you can tell most of my foundations are on the darker side as most of my clients wear tan. This foundation was bought to replace my Loreal True Match and I have used this on it's own and I love it also. This costs about €12 I think. Gives a gorgeous dewy, glowy finish to the skin. Your skin literally does look like satin and just so soft and smooth. I love this foundation for that type of finish. 8/10.

Next I have a bit of a funny one. This was given to me by a friend and she lives in the states so I'm sure if you can get it here in Ireland but maybe you can. It's from Neutrogena and it is their SkinClearing oil-free makeup. This foundation is very dark also so only for my darker clients but amazing, This is just full coverage and like the Dermablend it is for problem skin so I do love this and it blends out lovely. 8/10. And I have the shade Tan 120.

Next I have Revlon ColorStay foundation in the shade 180 Sand Beige. This is meant to be a dupe for Estee Lauder Double Wear but I don't know because I've never used double wear myself. But it is really thick and really full coverage. Once you put this on it is not going anywhere! It literally sticks to your face. I hear that Revlon is being sold exculsively at Debenhams from now on - all the chemists in town are selling it off - Get to Murrays chemist in town or Joe Kellys in Abbeyside for discounted Revlon! Murrays are selling all of their stock for just €5 so defo check it out. I loveeee this foundation. This mixed with my MAC is my going out foundation. 9/10.

Last but not least cause I have so much to talk about with this is L'Oreal True Match foundation. This is my go to foundation. It is full coverage and doesn't budge all day long. It's pretty much perfect. Costs €15 a bottle but there are also always offers on and you can get this in Sam McCauleys or Boots. I have so many shades but I'm going to talk a small bit about each one..

  1. Ivory - the BEST drugstore foundation for pale people. Like I mean as pale as a ghost. It is perfection. So white just so pale it's great and a neutral undertone. If you want an expensive foundation that is even whiter than white MAC NC13 or NC10 - it's like white paint. But fab,
  2. Rosy Vanilla - More pinky toned than yellow toned but perfect for everday look if you're some what a normal colour and not pale haha.
  3. Beige - Defo pinky toned. Defo dark. Not great for a tan colour but mix this with a foundation with a yellow undertone and you get the perfect dark yellow toned foundation shade.
  4. Golden Beige - So yellow toned you'll look like La La from Tellytubbies. It's just perfect like honestly I rather this over my MAC NC20. It's just perfect for a tan. 100% yellow toned.

Hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful. If you're going to try anything please try the L'Oreal True Match foundation :)

Thanks so much for reading! Xx
